When we needed advice on our inherited cabin, he dove into the task, conducting a thorough inspection and offering valuable advice to revamp it before putting it up in the real estate market. His recommendations did not stop there, as he introduced us to a phenomenal real estate agent who was just what we needed. Talk about going the extra mile! He didn't simply stumble upon our buyer; instead, he played a pivotal role in attracting the perfect buyer while conducting an inspection for another property. It's evident how critical Chuck was in the entire process. His assistance didn't halt with the sale of our cabin; he continued to generously lend his expertise to our current residence as well. Chuck's level of professionalism is simply awe-inspiring. We ended up having to get a home inspection done last minute with a quick turnaround time and Chuck was very flexible and worked with us to get it done. During our inspection it was very obvious the high level of knowledge and experience he brings to the table. Throughout the home inspection he went into great detail about everything he saw and explained the importance and strategies for addressing/maintaining the condition of our future home. On top of that Chuck was very friendly and easy to work with, I would happily recommend him to anybody I know looking for an inspector. read less

I was in a pinch, and called him the night before my client’s offer was due. Chuck met us before 7 a.m. and went right to work on our inspection. I had plenty of time to write the offer and submit it by 10:00 a.m. Based on Chuck’s expertise, my buyer was able to make an informed decision and we went under contract in a multiple offer situation! He inspected my home 3 years ago. My HOA recently hired his services to inspect for an upcoming roof project in our townhouse community. The inspections were thorough and very detailed. We gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and advice to help us plan out maintenance, repairs and future replacements. We had 18 buildings inspected, 36 individual townhomes. The online reports he provided were professionally organized and easy to navigate. The advice and professional education he provided to our HOA was extremely valuable to us! We successfully negotiated a roofing contract with confidence! We are very pleased with the service Chuck provided! read less

Frequently Asked Questions
Buying or selling a home can be a stressful experience, but we’re here to ensure you know what to expect during your home inspection.
A home inspection includes checking for any structural issues such as foundation cracks, roof leaks, plumbing issues, electrical wiring, heating/cooling systems, insulation, windows, doors, chimneys, etc. Depending on how big the property is, a home inspection typically takes 2-3 hours.
Ensure all inspection points are free from clutter, including any closets that might lead to a crawlspace or attic, and clearing some space around your home’s perimeter. It’s also important to check the functionality of all built-in appliances, electric, and gas. If you don’t plan to attend the inspection, make sure your inspector has access to the home, and all pets are properly contained or moved.
A home doesn’t pass or fail an inspection. Instead, a home inspection is a thorough audit of your home’s components. In most cases, there will be concerns marked on your home inspection report, but these are strictly informative.
While you can legally skip a home inspection in many cases, doing so could mean you may end up buying a home that has major issues that need to be fixed.
While a home inspector may recommend some minor repairs, they are not qualified to make major repairs. He or she can provide information about what needs to be repaired — and it might be helpful to know that information — but the decision to actually do the work lies solely with the homeowner. Not only does this give you the freedom to choose your contractors, but it also helps prevent a conflict of interest.
A home inspection can affect appraisals for two reasons: 1) The inspector may find something wrong with the property that would lower the value of the home, 2) The inspector may find things that need repair which could increase the value of the home. If the inspection finds issues that require repairs, then the seller has to decide whether they want to fix them themselves, or hire someone else to do it. If the buyer wants to purchase the home, he/she must be willing to pay for those repairs.
